Novel approaches for the photooxidative remediation of environmental pollutants

Contributions and awards
His research focuses on semiconductor photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and the mechanism; photodegradation of organic pollutants via activation of O2 or H2O2 by transition metal complexes; photochemical cycling of iron species and the relative environmental processes; photocatalytic selective oxidation of organic compounds; photofunctionalnanomaterials. He has published over 200 papers in the international journals, such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Environ. Sci. Technol., over 130 of them are in the journals with an impact factor above 3.0. 20 Chinese invention patents authorized. The publications have been cited over 8800 times by other researchers.
